Event Description: Discover the homes of Hong Kong’s diverse coastal wildlife such as mangroves, fiddler crabs and snails. Join us for an exciting adventure at our coastal exploration and shore cleanup mission!
The activity kicks off with an online pre-tour briefing where you will learn about coastal habitats and the issue of ocean pollution from OWLHK. On the outing day, you will start with an eco-tour to see the coastal species up close, followed by a meaningful shoreline cleaning where you can contribute to protecting our precious ocean.
Swire Trust supports OWLHK’s “Nurture via Nature” education programme, which provides outdoor education opportunities to students and conducts studies on nature connectedness and outdoor environmental education, striving to achieve the goal of re-connecting children with nature in Hong Kong.
Remarks: · All participants are required to join the pre-tour briefing. · Each staff can bring along 1 family member/ friend. Please register for them as well. · Transportation will be arranged between Kowloon Tong and Ting Kok. The stated activity time is inclusive of travelling time. · If the activity is over-subscribed, participants will be randomly drawn.
