Event Description: Shui Hau Wan (水口灣) is a unique area that encompasses diverse coastal habitats, records a rich biodiversity with over 180 species. However, the beauty of Shui Hau has been greatly disrupted by significant levels of disturbance and pressure caused by human activities.
Join us to combat the accumulation of trash and restore the natural beauty of Shui Hau! Volunteers will work together to clean up the beach, bring back a welcoming habitat for our coastal species, while also gaining insight into the beach's biodiversity and waste issues in Hong Kong.
The Green Earth (TGE) is a Hong Kong-based environmental charity focused on promoting zero-waste culture, resources and energy conservation. This activity aligns with one of Swire Trust’s missions in promoting marine conservation.
Remarks: - The event duration is inclusive of travelling time. Coach will be arranged between Tsing Yi and Shui Hau Wan - If the activity is over-subscribed, participants will be randomly drawn.
