TrustTomorrow: Movie Screening “The Sunny Side of the Street” and post-screening sharing (29 Apr 2023)

Languages: English and Cantonese, The movie will be in Cantonese with English subtitles. Sharing will mainly be in Cantonese supplemented with English.

Event Description: Join us at the private screening of “The Sunny Side of the Street” 《白日青春》for Swire staff and families. This heartwarming movie tells the story of a 10-year-old Pakistani refugee boy on a pursuit of escape, who finds an unexpected kinship with a Hong Kong taxi driver. Through this film, you will get a taste of the complexity of the refugee and asylum seeker communities in Hong Kong, as well as the optimism and resilience built among these groups. This event includes a post-screening sharing by Hong Kong Dignity Institute, which will give us more insight on the reality of refugees in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Dignity Institute (HKDI) is one the NGO partners of Swire Trust. The TrustTomorrow initiative supports HKDI’s Interdisciplinary Experiential Learning Program, offering learning opportunities for university students across different disciplines to work together to help victims of trafficking as well as refugees.
